Elemental Manipulation: He has the ability to manipulate elements at will. Your run off the mill fireball throwing, water summoning, ice forming, plant growing magic.
Barrier: He can generate a barrier to ward off spells and the like. The stronger the attack he’s feeding off, the more magic he has to put forth to repel it.
Shock the Heart: His signature spell/unique magic, it allows him to compel the truth from an individual, however it can only be used once per person, and wary types can resist it. It works best if the target is caught by surprise or is emotionally vulnerable.
Flying: His worst magic skill due to a dislike of heights, but he can fly on a broomstick. Barely.
Potions: He’s admitted to enjoying making potions, and it’s his best class. He likely falls short of the Housewardens skillwise, but he’s still a dab hand at it.
Shapeshifting: While he requires a potion to remain in his human form, he can still shift back and forth between his human form and his true merform at will.

RELATIONSHIPS
Floyd: Jade’s twin brother, who he does care about quite a bit. They aren’t inseparable, and are very different individuals. If left to their own devices they WILL try to spend every moment with each other, but that often leads to them mauling each other in fights because neither is particularly fond of the other’s hobbies. Their mutual friend, Azul, has made it a point to spend time with each of them to prevent their infighting.
Azul: Their mutual friend they’ve known since childhood, and made friends with in middle school. They’ve deemed him and his schemes as “interesting”, and as long as he remains interesting he has their cooperation (more or less). Azul is there one that gives the pair some sense of direction.
